Panos Dragonas


Panos Dragonas (Athens -GR, 1967). Architect, critic and Associate Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Patras.

Graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (1992) and received his Masters from Columbia University as a Fulbright scholar (1993). Curator of the exhibition of the architectural competition "Rethink Athens" (Athens, 2013). Joint-Commissioner and Curator of the Greek participation "Made in Athens" at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition -la Biennale di Venezia (Venice, 2012). Joint-Curator of the exhibition "14F/21GR. Young Architects from France and Greece". Consultant editor of the Architecture in Greece and Design + Art in Greece annual reviews.

Together with Varvara Christopoulou, they established Dragonas Christopoulou Architects in Athens in 2001. Their work focuses on the ambiguities between public and private space, urban and natural landscape, local and global culture. They have received 10 awards and distinctions in architectural competitions including two first prizes.
