ZeynepEnlil is a professor of urban planning at Yildiz Technical University. She received her Bachelors in City Planning at METU, her M.Sc. Cleveland State University and her PhD at the University of Washington, Seattle.

She co-managed the "Istanbul Cultural Heritage and Cultural Economy Project," which brought an extensive data collection, mapping and measuring exercise together with an evaluation and analysis of local cultural policies and has been one of the major Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency projects. Currently, Enlil is the leader of the Turkish team and one of the scientific co-cordinators of the APRILab - Action Oriented Planning, Regulation and InvestmentDilemmas for InnovativeUrbanDevelopment in Living LabExperiencesProject within the framework of JPI Urban Europe and TUBITAK Joint Call

She is has been the Vice President of ISOCARP during 2005-2011 responsible for the Young planning Professionals Program. She is a member of ICOMOS-Turkey and has currently been appointed as a member to The Tangible Cultural Heritage Committee of the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO.

Enlil has a large number of publications, including several books. As an invited speaker, she has lectured extensively and delivered speeches in Europe, U.S.A. China and Australia.
