Architect
Melike Altınışık (Co-Founder) is an Istanbul-based architect. She received a Bachelor of Architecture from Istanbul Technical University (2003) with her 1st Honours degree and a Master of Architecture & Urbanism Degree from Architectural Association Design Research Laboratory - AADRL 2006. She won the Feidad Design Merit Award and Swiss Arts Award 2007 with her master's studies.

Prior to forming Salon Architects, she has worked as a Lead Architect with Zaha Hadid Architects (2006-2012) on varying scales of projects from hi-rise towers and mixed-use developments to furniture design. Her work includes projects such as Kartal Pendik Masterplan (İstanbul), Nanjing Youth Olympic Center (China), Eli&Edythe Board Art Museum (USA), Tripoli Conference Palace (Libya) and Abu Dhabi Performing Art Center (Abu Dhabi). She won prizes in national and international architectural competitions.

She is a part-time Lecturer for a Computational Architectural Basic Design Studio at the Bilgi University besides practicing at Salon Architects as the founding partner.
