Interior Architect
Numerous buildings are built not only in Turkey but also in the world. Various investments of different typologies and approaches are made from micro to macro scales. We, as architects generally consider all these building activities in architectural and spatial contexts. What about the process? Only some architecture schools and few architectural offices drive the processes of the projects forward. But what about the massive projects that affect the urban fabric direclty?

"ARKIMEET "Timeline" will be one of the sessions expected to become an ARKIMEET tradition. Every year one project, which is significant in urban scale, will be discussed in detail chronologically from the very first days of the design process until the execution.

Last year Zorlu Center was the project of "Timeline", this year the chosen project is İstanbloom. The designer of the project, Bünyamin Derman, and Aslı Esin from Esin Yapı will tell the "Timeline" of the project comprehensively in ARKIMEET 2014.

"On Building The City Vertically...

Our work related to the high rise housing project, which Fikret Orman, a partner of Esin Yapı, planned to realize in Zincirlikuyu, started in 2009. The contractors and the householders were seeking an architect for this project. They had collected conceptual design proposals from a few offices. One of them was our office.

The design concept of our projects is a polyphonic harmony, consisting of İstanbul's multicultural, multi-layered history and structures in different scales. İstanbloom is a massive expression of the city that rises from the earth to heaven.

Besides the common language that we had with our employer within the design process; the project İstanbloom is rising as the first highrise building experience of DB Architecture, after a long and abundant teamwork with architects, engineers, consultants and laborers."
